I have been told angels walk among us, and I believe it’s true. But I also believe they’re closer than we think.
When folks look at my son, they tell me he’s my wife and me. I tell them he’s his mom because his spirit is clear and unhindered, and his faith is strong. This would never have been possible if not for the sacrifices along the way, but there was always something else, something blessed and special, his mother.
You see everything I loved about her when we married, has now come to be part of my boy, all the dignity and grace, patience and caring, as well as unconditional love. When I watch him interact and learn every day, and I see his mother gently guiding him along, I am humbled and grateful before an all-powerful and loving God for allowing me to walk with them. In this short life, may I never take this gift for granted…
