The Precipice…

On December 7th 1941, the United States Pacific Fleet, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, was attacked by the Imperial Forces of Japan. When it was over, the surprise aerial assault left 2008 Navy personnel, 109 Marines, 218 Army (Air Force), and 68 civilians dead. The attack stunned a complacent America and plunged the republic into a global conflict that would ultimately claim the lives of more than 407,000 American military personnel, and nearly 60 million civilians.

Following that fateful morning, young Americans of every race, color, and creed flooded recruiting stations to join the fight, with some even committing suicide having been rejected under the military’s service guidelines. The desire to protect not only a nation, but a way of life was palpable in every corner of the country. Moreover, this post “Pearl” wave of patriotism literally squashed a raging debate over America’s involvement in foreign conflicts. “We the People” had been attacked, and freedom would be defended.

So tomorrow we remember, reflect, and humble ourselves in the shadow of those who stepped into the fray in our stead. We acknowledge their sacrifice and do our level best to honor the heroic stories of that day and the many that would follow. But as I look around at the political landscape 2025, I’m both curious and concerned. Have we given up on Liberty and freedom? Have we failed to educate a generation with the facts of their future? Has the world forgotten the cost of complacency and ignorance of history? And frankly, do we rise like they did in the face of tyranny?

Make no mistake my friends, evil is once again on our nation’s doorstep. And if we’re not careful, the reality of this next war, will make all before it look like a video game.

In the end, no nation is without fault, as no man is without sin. But no nation on planet earth, and throughout the annals of history, has done more to benefit the human condition than the United States of America. Therefore, it is incumbent on “We the People”, as parents and patriots, to teach our children right from wrong, good from evil, and patriotism vs. propaganda. No more lies. We know the truth. Political correctness and the “woke” agenda will not serve our posterity, but rather it will destroy them.

Wake up America. We have arrived. We are at the precipice. God bless and keep all those lost at Pearl, as well as all who wear and have worn the uniform, and who understand all to well, what is at stake.Wake up America. We have arrived. We are at the precipice.

God bless and keep all those lost at Pearl, as well as all who wear and have worn the uniform, and who understand all to well, what is at stake.
