A tale of two senators…

Well here’s something I never thought I’d hear myself say. Truth is, I’m really admiring Senator Lindsey Graham’s new, forthright and in your face style these days, especially when asked about funding for “the wall” recently. In stark contrast however, incoming Utah Republican Senator and failed presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s pathetic shot across the president’s bow, only demonstrates how wrong I was about him when he ran for the Oval Office in 2012 and what a disingenuous phony he actually is.

Notwithstanding Romney’s bitterness over being a senator instead of president, Senator Graham (R-SC) is correct when he says the fight over funding for “the wall” is a make or break moment for the Republican Party. It is the right thing for the nation and Democrats know it, as they’ve supported many such measures and funding. The problem is, many Libs on the Hill have forgotten their responsibilities to the American people and instead chosen to engage in a highly personal battle with a rough around the edges president who’s keeping promises he made to those same American people. They simply cannot and will not allow him yet another political victory.

All of the vitriol aside, it’s a sad day when those we send to DC to work for us are so obviously consumed by their own greed for power, they can no longer find their way back to their collective oaths of office.

Romney 2020? I don’ think so….;)
