As we look upon the turmoil concerning the medical treatment of our veterans this Memorial Day, it is important to embrace the full measure of the oaths and sacrifices of those who go to war in our stead, as well as the unimaginable grief of the families who must carry on when their loved one comes home in a metal container draped in “Old Glory”.
So if you pick up and do anything after the last burger is eaten, and the final bottle of beer goes down this weekend, let it be to write/email those we send to represent us, and demand this nightmare be fixed once and for all, and that our men and women in uniform, past and present, be put upon the pedestal of respect they so deserve. Enough is enough! Fix this, and fix it now!
