Free speech, Behar style…

From Joy Behar’s suggestion that Senator Orin Hatch be jailed for not “speaking out against Trump”, to a sitting Democrat congressman’s statement that he would restrict free speech if he could, we hear the Left continue to press for silencing those with whom they do not agree. Moreover, they continue to use a willing press to blur the lines between free speech and the debate often born of it. So it can no longer be ignored, the new party of BHO and its supporters, stand opposed to our country and even the most basic of its founding principles.

Now I’ve always said that everyone has a fundamental right to speech in a republic such as ours. It is after all, the cornerstone of our Democracy. However, there is no such right to actually be heard. This is where the Libs go off the rails… It’s really quite simple. You may speak but I don’t have to listen, and vice versa. Having said that, when cheesy TV types and ignorant politicians start talking about squelching opposing views, Americans of every ideology and political leaning should take note and beware. Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction” and he was correct.

Ultimately, I do not agree with the Left on any issue before us today. However, unlike them, I would never suggest they be silenced or worse, as they have. Those are truly the enemies of freedom
